Air India is Flying to Nairobi

OT Staff

International flights between India and Kenya (its capital, Nairobi, to be specific) have been announced as part of the sixth phase expansion of the Vande Bharat Mission.

The official website of Air India will be accepting bookings for flights that are scheduled for October 14 and 15.

India already has existing international air bubbles with countries like the USA, the UK, and the UAE. Kenya will be another addition as India edges towards restoring normalcy in international travel.

Limiting the scope of travel to only essential countries in terms of economy and demand, the aviation industry is gradually restarting a journey towards the new normal.

After the abrupt halt&nbspof all international flights, many Indians were stranded across the world. The Vande Bharat programme initially came into being in order to bring Indians home. It has now gradually developed and is aimed at easing international travel with the formation of air bubbles.
