7 New Trekking Routes to Come up in Jammu and Kashmir

From May 1, lovers of adventure, nature and wildlife will be able to book new inspection huts and rest houses while journeying in these parts

Won't you agree that a trip to Kashmir is always epic The gorgeous landscape of the valley in its seasonal avatars, its colourful gardens, crystal-clear lakes and floating houseboats, and handicrafts and cuisine are just the tip of the awe-inspiring iceberg that is Kashmir. It is just as much of a heaven for wildlife and adventure lovers, and the Jammu and Kashmir administrative council has now decided to take it up by a notch. 
The board recently announced its decision to develop&nbspseven new trek routes across different wildlife reserves in the region in order to promote ecotourism. New inspection huts and rest houses, set to be part of one brand and logo, will also be introduced as part of the initiative. 
The routes have been identified in the following regions 
1) Thajwas Wildlife Sanctuary
2) Sudhmahadev Conservation Reserve
3) Bahu Conservation Reserve
4) Tral Wildlife Sanctuary-Dachigam National Park-Overa-Aru Wildlife Sanctuary
5) Thein Wildlife Conservation Reserve
6) Khrew Wildlife Conservation Reserve-Dachigam National Park-Khonmoh Conservation Reserve
7) Khrew Wildlife Conservation Reserve
Those interested in making reservations at these resthouses and inspection huts can do so in the first round of online bookings where 29 of them will be up for grabs (May 1 onwards). The second round of bookings will open on July 1, and will feature 58 of these properties.
