This Gurugram Boutique Hotel is a Green Building

Luxury and sustainability walk hand in hand at AIR Conscious Living

OT Staff

After what seemed an endless drive and the maddening afternoon traffic, reaching the concealed boutique property &mdash AIR Conscious Living &mdash was a much needed respite. Situated amidst the conundrum of Gurugram, yet completely alienated from the grind, AIR Conscious Living is the newest boutique hotel on the block. With contemporary and chic design (inside and out), the property is camouflaged perfectly behind the tree-lined avenues. We found ourselves at the property one weekend and post a quick and smooth check-in we were shown to our room on the third floor, overlooking the main street.

Rooms

While the lobby exudes a modern, chic vibe, the rooms on the other hand are minimalist and are perfectly laden with modern amenities, including a voice assistant to take care of the basic in-room commands. Saving travellers the hassle of fidgeting with light controls, the rooms also have a touch screen panel in place with all controls within easy reach and most of all - uncomplicated. All 58 guest rooms have also been tastefully done, with wooden flooring and contemporary designs and architecture. Well suited for not only business travellers but also those seeking leisure travel, small getaways and city staycations, the insides of the rooms spot hues of green and grey, with interactive artwork and are home to modern amenities &mdash think plush couches, dedicated, minimalist working space and a bathtub.

Culinary Offerings
Moving on to the culinary offerings, its the simplicity yet the flavour of the meals that stands out here. With Chef Robin spearheading the culinary operations, the menu is expansive, largely includes Indian and Chinese cuisine and the food is served within the intimate confines of your room or at the all day dining cafe &mdash Cafe Breeze.

Sustainability
Keeping sustainability at the heart of operations, the property has environment friendly inclusions in place. The building is an energy efficient one, with EV Charging station for vehicles, 33kv Solar PV and solar water heating system and LED installed for efficient lighting. Not only this, there is also a food waste composting machine installed for zero solid waste discharge. The folks at AIR are also invested in harvesting rainwater. Travellers will also not spot miniature toiletries&rsquo bottles, instead see refillable shower dispensers. The property also has made optimum use of natural resources, successfully facilitated the effective use of water conservation and energy efficiency thus meeting the green features required to certify the property as a &lsquoGreen Hotel&rsquo.

USP
Keeping in mind the times we live in and the need to adopt healthier lifestyle choices, Jaideep Ahuja has a unique concept in place. The air purification system in the building is such that the the property boasts of an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 50 or below within the premises, regardless of the particulate matter and pollution outside.&nbspThe property is also all set to receive its Green Building certification soon.

Additional Amenities
The property also houses a 2,000 sq ft banquet room that can host up to 120 people and two meeting rooms equipped with the latest smart meeting technology for hybrid meetings. Additionally, the property also aims to cater to travellers from all walks of life, with a design that is friendly and comfortable for differently-abled patrons and senior citizens as well.

Things To Do
If you&rsquore looking for that cosy, tranquil nook at the property, head to the Zen Lounge on the ground floor and find yourself detached from the world, even though temporarily.
