Through The Snow Auli In Pictures

Exploring Uttarakhand's picturesque town of Auli through skiing, a buried temple, and traipsing through the snow

Thick snow all around us looked intimidating. "We are trekking through this" One of my friends asked the guide, who merely nodded with a slight smile as if it were a normal, everyday thing to do. In retrospect, it was a normal, everyday thing for him.

As the first glimpse of the snowy terrain touched our eye line through the grime-coated glass of the cable car, we knew we would be cold for days. For the next three days, we trekked through thick snow, skied and fell too many times, and discovered hidden treasures on our way up.
