Lala's Art Cafe, Leh
Lala's Art Cafe is a pleasant, warm establishment that offers delectable Ladakhi cuisine and exquisite works of art. It has a long history. The area, formerly a monastery about to be demolished, was renovated and transformed into a gallery café. Both foreign and Ladakhi artists and photographers are represented here.
A nine-foot-tall granite statue of Maitreya Buddha can be found on the outside. Freshly squeezed juices, hamburgers, coffee, butter chai, quiches, pasta, tsampa with cheese, and butter are available on the menu.

This café, housed inside a gorgeous yellow home, is not to be missed. It is a café that was entirely created by artists and has artwork displayed throughout. The entire café - down to the silverware and tables - served as a blank canvas for artists. All types of artists, from classic, and modern to doodlers, have been welcomed by the café's proprietors, and their works are displayed for sale.
