If you are in New Delhi on 26th January and the weekend which follows, head to the Bharat Parv, organised by the Ministry of Tourism. It will be held as a five-day celebration at the Red Fort lawns and Gyan Path from 26th to 31st January 2023. You will be witness to various cultural events highlighting the country's arts, crafts, dances, etc.
A Complete Treat
From witnessing breath-taking performances of the traditional dance forms to getting a taste of the authentic cuisine from each state of India, Bharat Parv is also about promoting the spirit of freedom, or Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. This is a government initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the history of India's people, culture, and achievements. You can also see the best Republic Day Parade tableaux, performances by the armed forces bands, cultural performances by the Zonal Cultural Centres, and cultural troupes from states and union territories. You can satisfy your tastebuds at the India Food Court, which will have 60 food stalls, and shop to your heart's content at the India Crafts Bazaar with its 65 stalls choc-a-bloc with handicraft products.
Participate And Win
The Bharat Parv will be your opportunity to showcase your music and singing skills. With MyGov, a citizen engagement platform created by the Government of India, the Ministry of Tourism has launched a competition for the best creation of a jingle in Hindi or English.
