The Delhi-Kathmandu bus service covers a distance of 1,250km with three stops in 30 hours

The Delhi Transport Corporation takes its operations beyond Delhi with the recent start of its &lsquoDelhi- Kathmandu-Delhi&rsquo bus service. The bus runs daily from Dr Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal near Delhi Gate and a one-way ticket costs Rs 2,300. The distance of 1,250km is covered in 30 hours, with three halts at Firozabad, Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Mugling (Nepal). For customs checking, the bus stops at Sanouli (India-Nepal border). Passengers of Indian or Nepalese nationalities need to have an official photo ID proof. Other passengers need to have a valid passport and visa. A bottle of mineral water is provided to every passenger. Meals and refreshments have to be purchased at the designated halts. For more information, visit www.delhi.gov.in
