Two upcoming food festivals in Goa

Enjoy Goan food and the state's love affair with coconut and cashew at two separate festivals in April-May

The Goa Food & Cultural Festival 2015, a Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) initiative, will be held in Panaji between April 17 and 21. The annual Goan celebration, now in its third year, includes entertainment, food and drinks. According to GTDC, this year, the festival will feature bands like Indus Creed and Parikrama, playback singer Sudesh Bhosle along with his band, the band Colour from north-east India, dance performances from the Season One Winners of India&rsquos Got Talent &ndash The Prince Dance Troupe, etc. The entertainment programme will also include local talent with music bands, singers and performances by both popular and folk artists. A fashion show by renowned Goan fashion designer Verma D&rsquomello will also take place during the festival. The festival will be held at the Dayanand Bandodkar Football Ground, Campal, Panaji.

The first edition of the Goa Coconut and Cashew Festival will take place from April 29-May 3. The festival will be focusing on the traditional use of cashews and coconuts. Various cashew drinks and coconut products will be exhibited during this festival.
