The 2-day Udaipur World Music Festival promises a fantas­tic line-up of over a hundred global artistes and ensembles from more than a dozen countries. This includes Carminho, one of Portugal&rsquos most popular fado singers, performing in India for the first time a collaboration between French composer Mathias Duplessy and Rajasthani Mirasi vocalist Mukhtiyar Ali Dobet Gnahore, the Grammy awardee from the Ivory Coast flamenco by Spain&rsquos Juanma Zurano and Tamara (the festival coincides with 60 years of the diplo­matic relations between Spain and India) and rock fusion by the Raghu Dixit Project. There&rsquos Udaipur, of course, as the enchanting backdrop (13-14 February entry free afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Pal and evening sessions at the Rail­way Institute Grounds find them on Facebook).
