Night Flights Allowed at Srinagar Airport

GoAir has become the first airline to offer evening flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai

Its been a longstanding demand from Kashmir. Despite its premium position as a leisure tourist destination, the Srinagar Airport, the main gateway to the northern state, has been restricted by not having night flights. Complaints over exorbitant prices have been frequent in the past few years, and night flights are being seen as a way to redress the situation. Well, finally night flights have been allowed and GoAir has become the first airline to offer late evening/night operations to Srinagar. GoAir flights G8-228 and G8-229 will take off from Srinagar at in the evening for Mumbai and Delhi. With these flights, visitors could spend the day in the Valley and be home for dinner.
