The biggest estuary national park in the world, it is located on the huge delta created by the confluence of three well-known rivers Padma, Brahmaputra, and Meghna. With a tropical monsoon environment, it is the largest salix swamp forest in northeastern India and is a sanctuary for many endangered species like the Hoolock Gibbon, Capped langur, Elephants, Slow loris, Tiger, and Water Buffalo. With over 300 species of birds, the place is a sacred haven for a diverse range of flora and fauna.
