To the delight of beer buffs, JW Marriott Bengaluru has now launched its own brewery, The Merak Brewhouse. At the helm is the much awarded brew-master Karthik Singh, who left his cushy job in the IT sector to chase a dream.

Relax among the tropical forest scenery and enjoy freshly brewed beers along with some of the choicest picks from the food menu.

Bringing some exotic flavours, the variety includes their signature Belgian Witbier, which is light and comes with a fruity orange and a hint of coriander with low bitterness, refreshing with a sweet and spice finish. Try the American Style West Coast IPA, a refreshing orange coloured ale with a prominent and intense hops aroma the citrusy, pine-y and fruity character derived from American hops. Winter Warmer, which is the season&rsquos special, is a clear, amber-coloured spicy malt with flavours of sweet spices, dark fruit and malty sweetness. Kolsch is a smooth, light gold, low pilsner malt with an aroma of delicate fruit with slight tones of bitterness and sweetness.

Said Gaurav Sinha, Director of Operations at JW Marriott Bengaluru, &ldquoLocated in the heart of the city, we want to make the micro-brewery a neighbourhood favourite with our range of interesting brews with a seasonal special every few months.&rdquo

Merak is also known for its Asian fare. You may pair your drink with tempuras, house-made nachos, pan-fried gyoza, bao wraps, Goug&egravere and their must try Witbier batter fried coconut para.
