If there is any place in India that can give European cities a run for their money during Christmas is Goa. From sombre ceremonies at the colourfully decorated churches, the illuminated homes and singing of carols, to parties with families and friends, the sunshine state turns into a land of fiestas.

However, if you are looking to get away from the loud noise and partying without sacrificing the fun element, you may drop in at the DoubleTree by Hilton Goa &ndash Panaji.  They have curated a series of meal plans which are fuss free and can be enjoyed in a serene setting.

On Christmas Eve (December 24), the hotel&rsquos all day dining outlet Comida and their special Mangalorean outlet Feliz are offering a diverse dinner spread (priced at Rs 1500 plus tax  per head and Rs 1600 plus tax per head, respectively), including champagne, mulled wine, interactive live counters, enticing desserts. There will also be live music.

If you are looking for a place to dine after an outing with family or friends on Christmas Day (December 25), you may drop in at Feliz for a special Christmas Brunch (between one and four pm). Charges are Rs 1,500 tax per person without alcohol / Rs 2,500 tax per person with alcohol.

DoubleTree by Hilton Goa &ndash Panaji will also hold a Soiree Brunch on December 26 (between one and 4pm) at Feliz overlooking the Mandovi River. Pegged at Rs 1,250 tax per person without alcohol and Rs 2,250 tax per person with alcohol, it is an excellent opportunity for those who are loath to go to the kitchen on Sunday after Christmas but have to prepare meals for family or friends.
