One can explore the hidden waterfalls on scenic treks that offer breathtaking views of the surroundings or can hop between the historic forts to witness the rich cultural heritage of the place. This enchanting place is full of surprises that will leave you awestruck.

Fort Hopping

The forts of Goa add to the city's magnificence. Most of these forts were built by the Portuguese, who ruled the city for about 450 years. The sturdy fortifications and tall towers magnify the heritage of the city. What adds to the view is the rising fortresses dotted by the vast sea. Besides the historical aspect, these forts are great for sightseeing. With about 11 forts, including Fort Aguada, Chapora Fort, Corjeum Fort, and Reis Magos Fort, fort hopping in Goa is worth every penny. Despite being relatively small compared to other forts in the country, the Goan forts stand out for their historical uniqueness.
