Getting there

By Road:

Buses and private vehicles are available from Bangalore to Kunchikal Falls. The routes taken by buses and private transportation operate through the following routes:

Bangalore-Tumkur-Tarikere-Bhadravathi-Shimoga-Agumbe.

However, it's important to remember that there aren't many buses that go to Hulikal and almost none that go to Kunchikal Falls. Thus, renting a private car is the most convenient way to reach the falls. It's also important to note that the last kilometre up to the falls is muddy and covered in slick rocks, so exercise caution.

By Rail:

Located on the border between Udupi and Shimoga, the Udupi railway station is nearly 67 km from Agumbe and 97 km from Shimoga. You can book a taxi or bus from Shimoga or Udupi to the waterfall.

By Air:

Kunchikal waterfall is located at a distance of 142 kilometres from the Mangalore airport, which is well connected to major cities. One can take a bus, train, or cab to get to the waterfall from the airport.
