In December, during the time of the Konark Festival, Odisha Tourism organises the annual International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga Beach, near the Konark Sun Temple. This year marks the 12th edition of the festival, featuring renowned international and national artists. Sand art can also be enjoyed at Puri Beach, largely thanks to the efforts of master artist Padma Shree Sudarsan Pattnaik.
