6 New Restaurants In Mumbai To Checkout This Year

When visiting Mumbai, step into any one of these six newly launched restaurants for a sumptuous meal and a refreshing drink

Pranay Jain

Maximum City Mumbai gives you the most and the best options to select food and drink from. No matter the type of cuisine you are looking for, from Italian, middle-eastern, to Indian and a trendy global mix, it is all on offer. Here are six restaurants to start this year.

Bawrii, BKC

Bawri BKC is designed by Muninder Chowdhary and Vishakha Chowdhary to create a chic and comfortable 130-cover restaurant

At Bawri BKC, diverse Indian materials and textures create a captivating ambiance. From poured-in-place micro concrete with copper strip inserts to reclaimed teak planks and repurposed carpets, the 4500 sq ft. space features five seamlessly flowing sections: a central bar, intimate seating, communal tables, cozy built-ins, and the standout arched cane enclaves with floor-level seating. Chef Amninder Sandhu's menu at Bawri highlights cherished, generational recipes inherited from family and friends. It's a fusion of her Punjabi roots, upbringing in North East India, past in Goa, and explorations across rural India. Every dish reverberates with the authenticity of yesteryears, using timeless spices, local produce, and a commitment to wholesomeness. The cooking relies on seed-free oils like olive and avocado or A2 quality ghee, emphasizing hormone-free meats and ethically sourced ingredients, a testament to Chef Sandhu's dedication to sustainability.
