Located close to the Valpoi village, the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary is a relatively new sanctuary. When you visit this sanctuary, you may come across various creatures such as Indian gaur, Barking deer, Sambar deer, Asian palm civet, tiny Indian civet, Wild boar, Indian hare, Ruddy mongoose, Black-faced langur, and Bonnet macaque. Getting There: Madgaon is the nearest railway station, about 25 kilometres away by road while Goa airport is 67 kilometres away. Private buses and autos are easily accessible at this location.
