The Vietnam Itinerary

We started from South Vietnam and moved towards the North, with our first stop in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Here's what our 11-day-long journey looked like.

  • HCMC: 1 day

  • Da Nang: 2 days

  • Hoi An: 2 days

  • Phong Nha: 2 days

  • Hanoi: 4 days (including 2 days in Halong Bay and 1 day in Ninh

    Binh)

Ho Chi Minh City

Our first day in HCMC was spent exploring the city, experiencing a new culture, and enjoying the unique food, like the delicious Bahn Mi. We even ventured into the spirited Bui Vien Street at night, a new experience.

Da Nang

Next was Da Nang, where a delayed flight caused our first hiccup. Nevertheless, we rented a scooter, relaxed by the beach, and had a romantic dinner. The next day, we visited Bana Hills, like a Disneyland experience, and enjoyed the Dragon show in the evening. We ended the night by the beach with our favourite Vietnamese coconut coffee.

Hoi An

Hoi An, our third stop, became our favourite. We spent two dreamy days exploring the town on bicycles, enjoying cute cafes, and soaking in the romantic atmosphere of the lantern-lit nights.

Phong Nha

Phong Nha, our fourth stop, offered a unique experience with a water cave tour. Kayaking inside the dark cave, rock climbing, and swimming were beyond our dreams.

Hanoi

Hanoi, our fifth stop, had us exploring the Old Quarter and enjoying street food. We also took a day tour to Ninh Binh and a 2-night cruise in Halong Bay brought a luxurious end to our trip. Activities like kayaking by the rice fields, exploring caves and pagodas, and swimming in the ocean made it memorable.
