What To Do

Mandawa Fort 

Built by Thakur Nawal Singh Bahadur, Mandawa Fort is a popular tourist attraction. Its variety of portraits, paintings and medieval architecture adds to its charm. Due to the extensive use of mirror work on the walls and ceiling, the Sheesh Mahal of Amber Fort served as an inspiration for the interior design of Mandawa Fort. One of the fort's grander areas is the Durbar Hall. The affluent Marwari community of merchants constructed the town's other structures.

Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli

One of the most stately mansions in Rajasthan, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, is known for its vintage charm and ambience of the Rajputana times. Do not miss adoring its beautifully carved wooden doors and latticed windows.  

Goenka Chattri

Dating back to the 18th century, the Goenka Chattri stands as an outdoor art gallery, paying homage to the esteemed Goenka family, who once called this mansion their home. Adorning the walls are exquisite paintings and frescoes, proudly reflecting the heritage of Rajasthan. Filled with arts, crafts and souvenirs, this market is the perfect place for tourists to experience the culture and art of Rajasthan. The market has shops selling paintings done on paper and cloths, decorated chests, cradles, utensils, small furniture, bangles and tye and dye items.

How To Reach

By Air: In Mandawa, there is no flight service. Jaipur International Airport, located about 182 km away, is the closest airport. Any major city or town in India has direct flights to Jaipur. You can arrange an airport taxi and a road trip to Mandawa from there.

By Train: About 17 km distant, Dundlodh Mukundgarh is the closest railway station. You may get to Dundlodh from any other town or city in Rajasthan and then take a local bus or arrange a taxi to get to the village.

By Road: The state routes NH 48, NH 11, NH 53, and state highways connect Mandawa to the rest of the region well. Some public and private bus services travel to Mandawa from places like Jaipur, Bikaner, Agra, Alwar, Delhi, and Ajmer. Booking an out-of-town cab or renting a car and making a road journey from any place in Rajasthan or surrounding states to Mandawa is the best option.
