With music and dance, Manjari Chaturvedi's captivating production: Songs and Stories of Gwalior Gharana takes the audience to the Gwalior royal courts. Sixth-generation vocalist Vidushi Meeta Pandit, of the renowned Gwalior Gharana, will perform songs that were once performed in the rulers of Scindia's darbars. Manjari Chaturvedi will accompany her, fusing classical music with engrossing storytelling as she tells tales of the singers, dancers, and musicians of the royal courts. The performance brings back to life the splendour and extravagance of a bygone era when royal patrons delighted in these classical works. This exceptional collaboration provides a unique window into the legacy of over 250 years of Gwalior's musical tradition through traditional songs and "baithki bhaav abhinaya."
